— The treatment

What happens during a facial.

A facial is a skincare treatment designed to cleanse, exfoliate, nourish and hydrate the skin. Facials can also be tailored to specific concerns such as dryness, congestion, sensitivity or uneven tone.

At D4 Season our customized skincare is designed to deeply hydrate, restore radiance and leave your skin smooth and refreshed — from hydrating facials and gua sha to HydraFacial and luxury options including La Mer facial care.

The steps in a facial

A typical facial may include a skin consultation and analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, optional extractions, a facial massage, a treatment mask, and serums, moisturizer and sunscreen to finish. A HydraFacial follows three steps — cleanse with a gentle exfoliating peel, extract pore impurities with light suction, then hydrate with a personalized booster serum.

How long it takes

Most facial treatments last 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the service and any add-ons. At D4 Season the facial menu runs from a 30-minute Guasha Lifting Facial ($70) through to a 90-minute HydraFacial Keravive Scalp ($258).

— Is it for me

Who a facial is for.

Facials suit anyone wanting to cleanse, hydrate and refresh their skin, and most can be customized for dry, oily, combination, sensitive, acne-prone or mature skin. Facials are beneficial for all genders — our Men's Purifying Facial is built for men's skin and grooming needs.

How often to come in

Many skincare professionals suggest a facial every four to six weeks, though the ideal schedule depends on your skin type, concerns and goals. The benefits are usually greatest when a facial is paired with a consistent at-home skincare routine.

A note on skin concerns

Facials may help manage mild congestion and clogged pores, but moderate to severe acne often needs a customized routine or care from a dermatologist. If you have sensitive skin or are pregnant, let your esthetician know so the treatment can be adjusted.

— The relaxation

Skincare and a moment of calm.

A facial is as much a moment of calm as it is skincare — deep cleansing, the removal of dead skin cells, improved hydration and brighter, smoother-looking skin, alongside genuine relaxation and stress relief.

We don't make medical or clinical claims about results. The research references near the foot of this page link to neutral background from the NCCIH and the Mayo Clinic on relaxation and stress — general reading, not claims about our services.
