— The session

What a body massage involves.

A body massage is a hands-on therapy that uses a range of techniques to work the muscles and soft tissues. It's commonly chosen for relaxation, stress reduction, easing muscle tension and overall wellness. Our services include Swedish, deep tissue, CBD oil and couples massage — all designed to ease muscle tension, enhance circulation, and promote overall relaxation and wellness.

The styles we offer

Swedish is a gentle, full-body relaxation massage; deep tissue works the deeper muscle layers and chronic tension; CBD oil is a soothing, calming option; and couples massage lets two people unwind together in one room. We'll match the pressure and style to what your body needs that day.

How long it takes

Most sessions are 30 minutes (a focused treatment), 60 minutes (a full-body massage) or 90 minutes or longer for something more comprehensive. At D4 Season, single-person massage runs from $50 for a 30-minute focus session up to $135 for a 90-minute deep-tissue or CBD session; couples options start at $170.

— Is it for me

Who a massage is for.

A body massage suits anyone carrying muscle tension or stress, or simply seeking full-body relaxation and recovery. The benefits people look for include reduced muscle tension and stiffness, stress relief, improved circulation, increased flexibility and an enhanced sense of well-being.

How often to come in

It depends on your goals: for general relaxation, many people come every four to eight weeks; for ongoing stress management, every two to four weeks tends to feel better. There's no need to come more often than your body actually wants to.

Before & after your massage

Arrive a few minutes early, stay hydrated, and let your therapist know about any injuries, conditions or areas of concern, plus your pressure preferences. Afterward, drink water, move gently, and give yourself time to enjoy the effects. A relaxation massage shouldn't be painful — tell your therapist any time the pressure feels too intense.

— The wellness side

The wellness side of bodywork.

Massage is one of the oldest forms of self-care, and our work focuses on relaxation and easing everyday muscle tension. Massage may help manage feelings of muscle tension and stress, but it isn't a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.

If you'd like neutral, non-promotional background, the research references near the foot of this page link to the American Massage Therapy Association and the NCCIH on massage and stress — general reading, not claims about any specific outcome.
