Luxury is a name on the menu, not the top of it

Most people search for a luxury head spa expecting the most expensive thing we sell. That is not what the name means here. The Luxury Head Spa 90 min $135 sits in the middle of our head spa menu.

Four head spa treatments cost more than it does. The Floral Head Spa Therapy 90 min $150 costs more. So do Purifying Scalp Care 90 min $168, Scalp Revitalize Therapy 90 min $220 and Hydra Keravive Scalp 90 min $258.

So the useful question is not whether $135 is the top price. The question is what $135 covers. You can see every price side by side on our head spa menu.

What luxury does mean here

Luxury here means more time and more steps. It does not mean a different room, and it does not mean a different therapist. The same team works on a 30-minute booking and on this one.

The detail that appears once

The only head spa on our menu with an arm massage

Read all eleven head spa descriptions on our menu and one detail shows up exactly once. The Luxury Head Spa lists an upper shoulder and arm massage. Every other head spa stops at the shoulders or the neck.

The D4 Signature Head Spa 60 min $85 lists an upper shoulder massage and nothing below it. The Classic Head Spa (Short Hair Only) 45 min $70 lists shoulder and neck relief. Neither one reaches your arms.

That gives you a simple test. If someone works on your arms during a head spa here, you booked the Luxury Head Spa.

Why the arms are worth naming

Your shoulders and arms do most of the work at a desk. A scalp-only session leaves them alone for the full hour. If you want hands-on work well below the neck, our body therapy menu is built for that.

The water step

The only 90-minute treatment that includes hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy means warm water flowing gently over the scalp. Three treatments on our menu include it, and only one of those runs 90 minutes.

That one is the Luxury Head Spa 90 min $135. Six treatments on our head spa menu run 90 minutes. The other five do not list hydrotherapy at all.

So a 90-minute booking and the water step only overlap in one place. For the full picture of which treatments include it, read the hydrotherapy page.

Where the water step lands

Our menu lists hydrotherapy second to last, after the massage work is done. A blow-dry closes the session, so you leave with dry hair.

The real answer

What $135 buys is reach, not status

Put those two facts together and this treatment has one clear job. It covers more ground than any other head spa we run.

The listed steps are a head massage, a deep scalp cleanse and a hair repair treatment. Then comes an upper shoulder and arm massage, hydrotherapy and a blow-dry. That is your head, your scalp, your shoulders and your arms in one booking.

Nothing happens in the room that the menu does not list. If a step is not written above, we do not claim it.

The closest treatment to it

The D4 Signature Head Spa 60 min $85 is the nearest relative on our menu. It shares the head massage, the scalp cleanse, the hydrotherapy and the blow-dry. The extra $50 buys 30 more minutes, a hair repair treatment and the arms.

If depth matters more than reach

Some guests want depth in one area instead of coverage across four. Purifying Scalp Care 90 min $168 focuses on deep cleansing for excess oil and product buildup. The Chinese Herb Head Spa takes a herbal approach instead.

— Step by step

Where the 90 minutes go, head to arms

This is the order our menu lists for the Luxury Head Spa 90 min $135, and nothing else happens in between.

  1. 1 Head massage and deep scalp cleanse The session opens with a head massage, then a deep scalp cleanse. This first stretch is the part every head spa on our menu shares.
  2. 2 Hair repair treatment After the cleanse, a hair repair treatment goes on. Our menu calls it exactly that, so that is all we will claim for it.
  3. 3 Upper shoulders and arms The massage now carries on past your neck to your upper shoulders and arms. This is the step no other head spa on our menu lists.
  4. 4 Hydrotherapy, then blow-dry Hydrotherapy comes next, and it is warm water flowing gently over the scalp. A blow-dry closes the 90 minutes.

— Common questions

Asked & answered.

Is the Luxury Head Spa the most expensive head spa on your menu?

+

No. At 90 min $135 it sits in the middle of our head spa menu. Four treatments cost more than it does. The Floral Head Spa Therapy 90 min $150 and Purifying Scalp Care 90 min $168 are two of them. Scalp Revitalize Therapy 90 min $220 and Hydra Keravive Scalp 90 min $258 are the others.

What does the Luxury Head Spa include for $135?

+

Our menu lists six steps for the 90-minute treatment at $135. They are a head massage, a deep scalp cleanse, a hair repair treatment, an upper shoulder and arm massage, hydrotherapy and a blow-dry. That covers your head, your scalp, your shoulders and your arms in a single visit. Gratuity is not included in the price.

Which head spa at D4 Season includes an arm massage?

+

Only the Luxury Head Spa 90 min $135 does. It is the one head spa on our menu whose description names the arms. Every other head spa stops at the shoulders or the neck. The D4 Signature Head Spa 60 min $85 lists an upper shoulder massage. The Classic Head Spa (Short Hair Only) 45 min $70 lists shoulder and neck relief.

What is the difference between the Luxury Head Spa and the D4 Signature Head Spa?

+

Time and reach. The D4 Signature Head Spa runs 60 minutes for $85. The Luxury Head Spa runs 90 minutes for $135. Both include a head massage, a scalp cleanse, hydrotherapy and a blow-dry. The Luxury Head Spa adds a hair repair treatment, and its massage carries on past the shoulders to your arms.

Does luxury mean a private room or a more senior therapist?

+

It does not. Luxury here means more time and more steps on the list. It is not a different room, and it is not a different therapist. The same team runs a 30-minute booking and this one. What the extra money buys is the length of the session and the ground it covers.

Is 90 minutes too long for a first head spa?

+

Ninety minutes is a real block of time, so plan it as the last thing you do that day. If that is more than you want on a first visit, start smaller. Our head spa menu opens with the TCM Head Aromatherapy 30 min $50. You can always book the longer session once you know you like it.
